One of the greatest mistakes believers make is assuming that strength in one area compensates for weakness in another. It does not.
You may be strong in prayer but weak in truthfulness. You may be strong in Bible study but weak in obedience. You may be faithful in church attendance but unwilling to forgive.
You may be generous with money but dishonest in financial dealings. You may understand doctrine deeply but have no humility. You may serve publicly while neglecting your responsibilities at home.
The devil only needs one weak point. (Ephesians 4:27)
Many houses that have been robbed had many strong points. Strong gates. Strong doors. Strong fences.
None of those strengths stopped the thief because the thief never attacked the strengths. He entered through the weakness.
Many believers spend all their energy celebrating their strengths while ignoring their weaknesses.
But spiritual maturity is not merely developing strengths. It is also identifying vulnerabilities and closing them.
A chain is not measured by its strongest link. It is measured by its weakest one.
God wants His people to stop assuming that because they are doing well in some areas, everything is fine.
Ask God to reveal the places where you are vulnerable. Ask Him to uncover the areas where access has been granted.
Because what destroys many people is not usually the area where they are strongest. It is the area they stopped paying attention to.
