I was at the barbershop where I work when I saw two students (both girls of about 13 years old). I wanted to talk to one of them in particular — my colleague’s girlfriend, so I called them. I wasn’t comfortable with their relationship and the fact that she would stop by the barbershop from school just to visit her boyfriend before going home. I had spoken to him about it in the past, but he ignored me and went on with the relationship.
That fateful day, he wasn’t in the shop, and I decided to call the girl so I could preach to her. Thank God they both came in and sat down. I shared the scriptures with them and counselled them, and after that, they rededicated their lives to Jesus. I held hands with them and prayed Ephesians 1:17-20 over them, as well as some prayers for other school-related things.
After the prayer, I asked them if they saw or heard anything while I prayed for them, and to my surprise, they answered me almost simultaneously that they saw a face glowing with so much light, looking at them. One of them, B, said she saw a hand placed on her head, while the other, V, said she had also seen a hand stretched towards her.
I asked them if they were baptized in the Holy Spirit, and they both said no. So, I prayed for them to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and as I laid hands on B, she began to shake intensely! At a point, I told her to start praying in the Spirit. As she opened her mouth, she started praying in other tongues! As she prayed in other tongues, I laid hands on her friend V, asking the Holy Spirit to fill her too, while I prayed in tongues. After the prayer, I asked them again if they saw or heard anything. V saw nothing this time, but B did.
She said she saw a hand opening her head and bringing out things that were black and red. Then, the hand placed something white in her head and closed it. After that, she saw the Holy Spirit enter her, and He told her to go to the world and let the people know that He is God! So, she turned her back and went.
God is good to the young ones, and to those who will step out in obedience!
