Obedience is not one strategy among many; obedience is the strategy.
People spend years looking for better methods. Better prayers. Better formulas. Better spiritual techniques.
But throughout Scripture, God won battles differently every time.
One army marched around a city (Joshua 6:1–20). Another broke jars and blew trumpets (Judges 7:16–22). Another fought while Moses’ hands were raised (Exodus 17:8–13).
None of those methods could become a formula because the method was never the point. The victory came because someone obeyed what God said for that battle.
That is why your greatest priority is not finding methods. It is learning to hear God.
Jesus said man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4; Deuteronomy 8:3).
Since that is true, then your spiritual life depends on hearing Him. That is why your relationship with God matters so much.
When He tells you what to do, don’t replace His instruction with something that sounds wiser to people.
If God says walk, don’t run. If He says wait, don’t rush. If He says serve, don’t seek recognition.
Victory belongs to those who obey, not those who invent better strategies.
