When Judah went to fight, they called Simeon. “Come up with us to fight against the Canaanites. We in turn will go with you.” (Judges 1:3)
They fought together. God gave them victory. Yet many believers refuse help. They struggle with the same bondage year after year.
People offer to walk with them. People offer to pray with them. People offer to disciple them. Still they refuse.
Pride tells them they can handle it alone. Meanwhile the same enemy continues pulling the strings in their life.
God has given His people assemblies where help is available. He has raised shepherds who care for the lost, the broken, the weak, and the struggling.
When that help is offered, use it. Two are better than one. (Ecclesiastes 4:9–12)
Do not choose darkness when God is extending light. Do not reject the people God has sent to help you fight.
If God has placed godly help within your reach, humble yourself and receive it. Sometimes victory begins with simply refusing to fight by yourself anymore.
