Some people become excited because they are becoming known in many places. They want to be global. They want to be everywhere. They want to spread themselves as far as possible.
But have you asked God how far He actually sent you?
Jesus is the Son of God. He came from heaven to earth, yet He never went outside His scope of duty. His assignment was focused. He did not spend His ministry trying to become known everywhere.
When some Greeks came looking for Him, Jesus did not suddenly change His assignment because people from another group wanted access to Him. He knew His time had come, and He went toward the purpose for which He had come.
This is something people in ministry need to understand.
God may give you a local assignment, but you may want an international platform. He may send you to a city, but you want to be known across nations. He may give you a specific people to serve, but you keep spreading yourself because you want recognition.
You can spread yourself so widely that you dry up.
Think about water. When water is together, it remains. But if you spread the same amount of water over a large area, eventually it dries up.
The same thing can happen with your assignment. You take the resources you should be using to serve the people God actually gave you, and you spend them travelling everywhere, looking for platforms and trying to become known.
If the internet makes your message reach places you did not physically go, let God handle that.
But there is a difference between God spreading what He gave you and you forcing yourself into places He did not send you.
Ask God where He sent you. Then stay within the scope of your assignment.
