Many believers still do not understand that words are warfare.
You think warfare only begins when demons manifest or when it is time to pray loudly. But Scripture says the sword of the Spirit is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:17).
If the sword is the Word, then speaking God’s Word is how the battle is fought.
Back then, Israel fought Philistines with physical swords. Today, we fight spirits. We do not wrestle against flesh and blood. We wrestle against spiritual forces (Ephesians 6:12).
Spirit is pneuma—breath. When you speak, breath leaves your mouth. When a servant of God says, “Leave now,” spirits respond because the sword is striking them.
That is why refusing to speak God’s Word is refusing to fight.
Many believers sit quietly when they should be using the weapon God gave them. They think silence is humility, when in reality they have laid down their sword. They are captured without resistance.
Stop treating reading Scripture casually. When you are told to read, read. When you are told to confess God’s Word, confess it. Opening your mouth is not a religious exercise. It is warfare.
The devil is not intimidated by silent Christians. He is resisted by believers who know how to wield the sword of the Spirit.
