While we were worshipping, I saw the phrase “wild gourds.” After seeing this, I checked my phone to understand what it could mean, and it led me to the Scripture in 2 Kings 4:38–40. The passage reads:
“And Elisha returned to Gilgal, and there was a famine in the land. Now the sons of the prophets were sitting before him; and he said to his servant, ‘Put on the large pot, and boil stew for the sons of the prophets.’ So one went out into the field to gather herbs, and found a wild vine, and gathered from it a lapful of wild gourds, and came and sliced them into the pot of stew, though they did not know what they were. Then they served it to the men to eat. Now it happened, as they were eating the stew, that they cried out and said, ‘Man of God, there is death in the pot!’ And they could not eat it.”
What was strongly highlighted to me from this Scripture was the phrase:
“There is death in the pot.”
As the worship continued, I began to see small, tiny demonic creatures. As I watched them, they transformed into gourds. These gourds had something unusual and sinister about them, and the impression that came to my mind was “Wild gourds”.
After this, I saw an army on a field. It seemed they were preparing to go into battle. As they journeyed, they picked up these gourds—the same ones that had appeared as demonic creatures—and added them into a pot of food they were preparing.
The food looked like a greenish soup or porridge. As they ate from the pot, they began to die one after another.
Then it came strongly to my mind that we were that army.
In the vision, I found myself shouting repeatedly:
“There is death in the pot! There is death in the pot!”
One by one, the soldiers fell and died.
While this was happening, I saw enemy warriors advancing quickly towards our territory. It was as though they had observed that our army had been weakened, and they were coming to take over.
At that point, I felt a deep urgency and cried out,
“Lord, can something be done about this?”
Earlier, I had already perceived the presence of Elisha in line with the Scripture. I then saw. Elisha standing on a city wall—not in the same space as the fallen soldiers, but within the city.
When I asked if something could be done, the Lord told me to look around and observe where we were.
Then I realized that we were in the enemy’s territory.
We had left our own territory to fight, but instead of remaining focused, we began to take and consume things that belonged to the enemy—things we were not meant to touch.
The understanding came clearly: we were carrying and consuming what belonged to the enemy even while trying to fight against him, and this would result in death.
When I asked again what could be done, the Lord directed my attention back to Elisha.
I saw him clearly on the city wall, holding a trumpet like a ram’s horn, and he was blowing it. It was as though he was calling the people back into the city.
The impression I got was that he could not help them while they remained outside; they needed to return to the right place.
I understood that we were not fighting according to God’s instruction, that we were choosing our own way of warfare, and that we had taken hold of things that belonged to the enemy—and all of this would lead to destruction.
As Elisha blew the trumpet, I perceived that this represented the sounds of heaven. This reminded me of the words I received the last time I came for the Deeper Waters Retreat.
The major emphasis of that word was that the Lord was releasing sounds from heaven that are meant to be used for warfare.
However, in this current vision, not everyone could hear the sound. Only those who had trained themselves to be sensitive—those who had learned to discern the voice of the watchman, who knew when to go out and when to return—were able to hear it and respond.
These were the ones who could follow the sound and engage in warfare correctly.
It also came strongly to me that there should be a Bible study on the trumpets.
I then understood that even those who had died, if they could hear the sound of the trumpet, could be called back, restored, and brought back into alignment.
They would return to the city and learn to fight according to God’s way.
As I continued praying and worshipping, I again saw the demonic creature, this time near someone’s leg.
Then I heard clearly:
“You cannot have the enemy’s possessions and still wage war against the enemy.”
Immediately, this Scripture came to mind:
“And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand” — Mark 3:24–25
