There is a kind of thinking that says, “Why should I do this? Why should I spend my time supporting unbelievers? Why should I give my money? Why should I use my opportunity for other people? Why should I serve? Why should I give up what I am enjoying?”
This is the thinking of the servant who buried what his master gave him.
He had a problem with his master. He thought the master was hard. He disliked what he believed about his master, and that affected what he did with what had been entrusted to him.
But God does not care whether you have constructed a personal analysis of Him. You are not called to psychoanalyze Him, you are called to obey Him.
If He gave you His Spirit, His grace, a gift, an opportunity, or resources, He expects you to generate profit for His kingdom.
Sometimes, people allow their feelings about God to determine whether they will obey Him. They look at their circumstances, what they think God should have done, how they think He has treated them, and then decide what they are willing to give.
But you are not called to live based on your feelings about God. You are called to obey.
Your time belongs to Him. Your ability belongs to Him. Your opportunities belong to Him. Your resources belong to Him. Your giftings belong to Him.
Do not let your opinion about God become the reason you bury what He gave you. The master has entrusted something to you. Use it.
