Jeremiah 3:15 says, “I will give you shepherds after my own heart who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.”
That is how God heals people. That is how God strengthens people. That is how God keeps people from becoming lost sheep again.
Knowledge and understanding are spiritual weapons. The more you understand God’s ways, the less confused you become.
The more knowledge you have about spiritual warfare, the less afraid you become of darkness.
The more you understand healing and God’s power, the less terrified you become of death.
The more you understand the age to come, the less power fear has over you.
This is why proper shepherding feeds people with truth.
Knowledge tears down imaginations. Scripture says the weapons of our warfare are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God (2 Corinthians 10:4–5).
So God sends shepherds who explain things. Who teach. Who clarify. Who bring understanding. And many wounds people carry start disappearing through understanding.
Some people were wounded for years because they misunderstood situations. Some discovered later that the people they blamed were not even the real source of the wound. Some discovered the wound itself was built on wrong perception.
There are people who once looked deeply damaged, unstable, broken, tormented. Then truth entered gradually. Understanding entered gradually. Knowledge entered gradually. And healing followed.
Sometimes the healing did not come through dramatic manifestations. It came because light entered.
A wise man is strong. A man of knowledge increases strength (Proverbs 24:5).
That is why teaching matters. That is why feeding healthy sheep matters too.
Because stable people become stable leaders. Mature people become people who help others. Some people sitting quietly now thinking they know nothing will one day be the ones settling arguments with Scripture, teaching groups, guiding younger believers, explaining truth clearly to confused people.
