I had an impression to pray for Nigeria.
While I prayed, I saw soldiers wrap up the Nigerian flag (it was very large), and put it on a stretcher as they were marching away in a procession.
It looked like the procession carried out during the burial of fellow soldiers. I was afraid, and I thought, “Is Nigeria dead?”
It looked like Nigeria went to sleep for a time, and it went on a pause. But behind this scene, I saw a heart that was dying slowly. The heartbeats were gradually reducing and the heart was losing its colour.
Finally, life went out of it and I felt everywhere go dark. But then, it seemed like it was going to turn out for good. I kept hearing the scripture that says; “Everything works together for good, to those who love God.” [Romans 8:28]
The story of Naaman dipping himself seven times in the river Jordan came to mind. 2 Kings 5:10
In a flash I saw a globe representing Nigeria, it was dipped into a river seven times and it was revived. What came out was a new globe, looking bigger and better. At this point, it seemed that the movement of life continued again.
Then I saw two ghost-like creatures struggling over the globe.
I found myself praying again and proclaiming that any foolish plan or strategy going on among the leaders would be scattered.
The counsel of Ahithophel came to mind.
It seemed like some of the officials were making this plan against the Vice President and they lobbied the Church to come and speak lies (bring accusations) against the Vice President. This was to humiliate him.
I also had the impression of the presence of moles among the leaders. These moles would take whatever was discussed in the meetings to their bosses underground.
I saw a picture of people sending secret letters through birds but it seemed to be more of a dark practice. I was reminded of Haman and his plan in the book of Esther.
I found myself praying that God would raise a Mordecai to expose the deeds of darkness.
Also, I sensed that we should pray that God helps the citizens of Nigeria so that we won’t become hardhearted and stubborn like the Israelites, demanding for a king like other nations (and God gave them Saul).
I prayed that the foolish desires of the citizens would not prevail, but let the will of God prevail.
