You can start with God and still end in error. That’s what happened to Moses—God told him to speak to the rock, but he struck it instead. Water still came out, but God told him: “You’re not entering the Promised Land.”
Don’t think that because miracles still happen, it means God is okay with everything you do. Some servants of God start well but begin to mix their own opinions with God’s instructions. They claim “God said” when, really, part of it is their own thinking. The result? People no longer know what’s from God and what’s from man.
This is a real danger. It’s not always false prophets doing this. Sometimes it’s sincere servants who, in their excitement or zeal, add to what God said. That’s how disobedience creeps in—even while doing ministry. And when they cross a line, the same God who sent them can pull back.
Be careful. Don’t assume everything a man of God says is straight from heaven. And if you’re in ministry, learn the lesson: adding to God’s words—even with good intentions—is still disobedience.
