God and the enemy operate differently. God comes by invitation. You call, He responds. You obey, He works. It is relationship. It is agreement. It is cooperation.
The enemy does not wait for permission. He looks for openings. He enters through carelessness, disobedience, and ignored instruction.
John 10:10 says the thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. Not to contribute. Not to build. To take. So the real issue is not ownership. The real issue is access.
You can belong to God and still be losing things if you give access in areas of disobedience.
That is why integrity matters. Integrity means wholeness. An undivided life. What you are in private is what you are in public. No divided ground. No split areas. Because divided ground is accessible ground.
There are examples in Scripture. People close to God’s purposes who still failed because of disobedience.
Genesis 4:7 shows the principle: sin is crouching at the door, and its desire is for you, but you must rule over it. 1 Peter 5:8 reminds us to be sober and vigilant because the adversary moves like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
2 Corinthians 2:11 adds that we are not to be ignorant of his devices. Proverbs 4:23 says to guard your heart with all diligence, because out of it flow the issues of life.
So the instruction is clear. Guard your life. Guard your habits. Guard your decisions. Check your doors. Not once. Not casually. Carefully.
Because the enemy does not need your entire life. He only needs a place to stand. And once he stands, he does not remain idle.
