A preacher once stood and said people should sow into “fruitful soil,” meaning him. That is to say giving money to a rich preacher surrounded by wealth and convoys is “fertile soil.”
Did you ever read your Bible to see what fruitful soil actually means?
Jesus already explained it in the parable of the sower. The fertile soil was not a rich preacher. It was the heart that heard the word and practiced it. That is what produced thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold (Mark 4:20, Matthew 13:23).
Once greed enters the heart, truth can become difficult to recognize. The Pharisees struggled with this too. When Jesus taught about money, they mocked Him and scoffed at His words (Luke 16:14). And now, another generation is repeating the same pattern.
The issue is not whether money exists. The issue is whether truth exists.
Why don’t believers read carefully anymore? Why don’t you sit with your Bible and study properly? Why are people reckless with scripture?
Jesus explained the parable in Mark 4 and Matthew 13 (Mark 4:1–20, Matthew 13:1–23). He already defined the seed, the soil, and the results. Yet, many abandon scripture and follow slogans because they are chasing quick prosperity.
Truth requires diligence.
Many believers are not deceived because revelation is unavailable. They are deceived because greed makes them careless. Once greed takes root in the heart, discernment begins to fade.
